Let’s be honest - nobody cares to waste three whole minutes of their lives reading some generic DJ bio that I wrote in Third Person, about some kid from the streets of Detroit that grew up with nothing, and now he’s traveling the world living his dream. Nobody cares that I used to listen to Kraftwerk or Jeff Mills as The Wizard, or Run DMC, or that I went to warehouse raves til sunrise, and suddenly started DJing the hottest underground techno parties in the city. Nobody cares that I used to run the streets drag racing, just to win my first pair of turntables. Nobody cares that I’ve performed with everyone from Tiësto to Travis Barker, that I’ve hosted events for everyone from Diddy to Donald...Duck, that I’ve represented for global brands from Red Bull to The Ritz Carlton. Nobody cares that I’ve had an “EP coming soon” for my entire career - like, I’m not Dr. Dre so who really cares?? Hell, nobody even cares how many thousands of Instagram followers I have these days (however, you should care that I had more real friends when I was on the Varsity Bowling Squad).
The fact of the matter is, nobody cares about any of it. But what you do care about is having a good time - that’s where I come in. So whether you’re at the biggest clubs and music festivals in the world; a Super Bowl Halftime Show, your favorite nephew’s mitzvah, your company‘s holiday party, or a good ole backyard BBQ - when the CAPTN is running the show...you don’t have to care about a damn thing.
